Welcome to the official blog of Diditz
Aug 24, 2008 – 11:08 amHey folks!
Welcome to the official blog of Diditz. We are in an exciting stage of development, and hoping to get lot of feedback from special users like you. So what motivated us to bring this idea to life? Well, a couple of reasons and an ambitious goal.
Imagine a jam packed Eric Clapton’s concert. Thousands of people watching the maestro perform - almost everyone taking pictures, a few recording videos and others writing blogs about their experiences at the concert. And a few months later, the only way to get any information about the concert is through newspaper articles, picture albums strewn over different sites, numerous blogs and so on. All the experiences of the fans are lost, simply because either their content is too old, or it is scattered around different places on the internet, with the accounts hard to keep a track of. Search results are inundating and you spend most of your time refining your search rather than actually bumping into more relevant content. Further, the only way all the fans around the globe can interact with each other is by joining forums, groups and smaller communities, which have almost been there since the time we have been using internet. And holy cow, as the number of things you are interested in increases, the number of user accounts you might be managing could approach infinity!
Well, time for change.
Diditz has been designed keeping three things in mind:
1. Making it easier for people with similar interests to interact with each other, without managing separate user accounts. Just type in your interests, choose a location and you’re good to go.
2. Giving more visibility to an average blogger - be it words, pictures or videos. No matter how old your content is, if users think it is good, it stays on the top forever!
3. Creating a collection of people’s experiences, on the coolest things around the globe - Wouldn’t it be cool to know what the 2004 Clapton looked like, with inputs from people who had the first hand experience!
Sounds complicated and way too ambitious? With the simple interface of Diditz and your fabulous experiences, it would be easy as an apple pie. With categories ranging from “Concerts & Gigs” to “Sports” to “Just for Kicks”, there is something in store for everyone to enjoy and share!
We would be using this blog to keep you updated about the latest news from our end. Occasionally, there would be some geek talk from our development team as well. But most importantly, this blog will serve as a communication channel with you, our users! Feel free to pour in your two cents: we assure you will get a response.
